Bone-In Shoulder Roast

Also called "picnic shoulder" or "picnic roast" this part of the animal gets a lot of exercise and does not contain a lot of fat, so remember that when cooking the name of the game is low and slow. We use this cut to make our famous pulled pork. It’s also a great cut for braising, cut up for stews, made into ground or put in the slow-cooker.

Enos Farms rotationally-grazed pork is fed a diverse diet of organic peas, oats, corn, silage (fermented plant matter), and they self-harvest a variety of crops like pumpkins, turnips, apples, walnuts, hickory nuts and berries throughout the year. You will taste a difference in our pork, even compared to other “pasture-raised” pigs-which are commonly fed a lot of grain.

We do not use chemicals to grow their food or on the land and our pigs have never had any treatment using antibiotics or any other medications.
